If you are down at the beach over the summer or even in winter it is still a nice activity to make sculptures, then find some shells or nice stones and maybe some driftwood, make a sculpture like this one or something similar. If the sun is high you can try to capture shadows as part of your sculpture.
This one was done on the shore of Loch Fyne in Scotland, we had a few days away and we were very lucky with the weather! It can you take a while to collect everything you think you might need, especially if you want to make a bigger sculpture! I always take a bag with me so I can collect lots of things.
