Loch Fyne Razor Shell Sculpture

Another sculpture that I made while we were in Scotland. This part of the beach had so many razor shells I could have collected bucket loads, but obviously you need time and energy to collect lots and lots, so I collected as many as I could!!

I planned to lay them flat and make a pattern on the sand, the sun was shining and when I held the shell up to the sun they lit up brightly bringing out the lovely browns and white colours on the shell. I decided to stand them in rows like soldiers and catch the shadows from the afternoon sun.

We had a lovely day collecting and making sculptures. I hope you can get out and make something with nature too.
